Signs of Hormonal Imbalance in Skin
Ever have sudden changes to your skin out of freaking no where??! We might have a suspicion as to what is happening...
Signs of a hormone imbalance can show up on your skin in many different ways; increased oiliness, persistent breakouts and dry/sensitive skin can all be indicators that something is off! Often times, many skin changes we experience stem from small glands called sebaceous glands. These little gems secrete an oily substance called sebum. Your skin changes in response to hormones so If you have an oily-type skin, you might notice these sebaceous glands being a little *extra* during the menstrual cycle.
Other factors that affect oiliness:
•Overuse/misuse of skin care products
•Genetics
•Seasonal changes
•Sun exposure
Always talk to your doctor before self-diagnosing!
